Gluggle Jug XL

This statement jug is a sought-after and collectable historical design that was created in the late 1800s. They are now beautifully hand-crafted in Stoke-on-Trent and made from durable vitreous porcelain.

Shaped in the style of a koi fish which makes a 'glug glug' sound when liquid is poured out. The handle is formed from its curved tail, it is smooth to the touch and easy to grip.

This jug is a multifunctional product that can be a wine carafe, vase, utensil jar or ornament. A perfect centrepiece that gurgles merrily for a touch of humour when poured from three-quarters full.

Vitrification, from vitreum, Latin for “glass” is the most important, and perhaps the most poorly understood, process in ceramics. A glass formed in the process of vitrification, even in tiny amounts, is what holds ceramic materials together.

The Original Gluggle Jugs are fully vitrified which means they are impervious to water, an essential property where food safety is concerned.
