With Big Lebow, Fatboy is taking indoor lighting to the next level – 2.34 meters high, to be exact. The powerful arc of this light, like its heavy foot, is made of powder-coated steel. The soft light generated by its LED lights is reflected by adjustable aluminum caps. They seem to float, giving the impression that the caps are rising along the arc. Beautiful, but functional too. With the lowest lamp you can read your newspaper, while the others provide additional atmosphere.

The switch, for example, looks like a quiz button. Press it to turn the arc floor lamp on or off; turn it to tone it down. Want to make even more impact, in the office for example? We developed Big Lebow with Jos Kranen en Johannes Gille, two Dutch designers who are constantly looking for the next design classic. Like Fatboy, they love developing archetypical, powerful designs that are rooted in the heart of a product. "A chance meeting outside, under a streetlamp, is doubly satisfying. It’s spontaneous and thus not contrived and we wanted to bring that same sensation inside. The way we see it, Big Lebow is typical Kranen/Gille - and typical Fatboy.”
