Table Lamp Paulina 05 Beige - Serax

Antwerp designer Anita Le Grelle designed these table lamps inspired by her children having recently flown the nest and their search for their own home accessories. The family element is reinforced by the fact that her daughter Pauline works with her in her company Terres de Rêves and on the eponymous collection. The tiny holes in the ceramic lampshades represent twinkling stars. Placed on a wooden furniture, a coffee table or on a desk, it will diffuse a subdued light thanks to its nice rounded shade. Its clean lines and pretty beige colour make it easy to match. Entirely made of stoneware, this lamp will go well with natural and rough materials such as wood, rattan or concrete.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

“I have five children. When my last child left home a few years ago to study in England, I suddenly had heaps of time, and for the first time I could focus entirely on my work.” The energetic Anita Le Grelle spends up to twelve hours a day in her studio. There, she translates her immense creativity into, among other things, her Terres de rêves line for Serax.

In natural shades that reference the earth, sky, and ocean, she continues to expand her dream world. Starting from something that she lacks, or as a creative protest against everyday objects that she simply does not find sufficiently attractive or useful, Anita Le Grelle brings ceramics to life. The refined appearance and the different layers of glaze characterise the entire line.
