The Amanita collection immerses us in the eccentric, provocative, funny and absurd world of Italian designer Marcantonio! Amanita is a dining table and stool set that looks like it came straight out of an enchanted forest! These giant mushrooms populate our interiors in a surreal, ironic way, as if to remind us of the unbreakable link that exists between man and nature. Marcantonio: “I find truth in nature: animals, plants… Nature is always unequivocally right.'' Marcantonio explores how concepts such as man and nature, animal and plant, or nature and technology feed and interpenetrate each other.

By creating this collection, designer Marcantonio is exploring themes like the relationship between man and nature, art and design, philosophy and the way things are. These sculptural objects, at the boundary between art and design, create a dreamlike, poetic, fantastical world.
After attending the Academy of Fine Arts, Marcantonio started creating unique pieces of design, enriching them with artistic concepts. He is quickly becoming one of the most esteemed Italian art designers of his generation. Connections between people and nature are his favourite theme, interpreting both the dynamics and beauty of them.
