At just 40cm tall, this two-tier version is the most compact in the range. It makes a neat bedside table, a handy bathroom cabinet or a small side table beside a sofa or armchair, with two compartments for hidden storage. Anna Castelli Ferrieri (1918–2006), an Italian architect and industrial designer, co-founded Kartell alongside her husband. She was the first woman to graduate in architecture from the prestigious Milan Polytechnic, and her pioneering use of plastics marked a turning point in modern design. Her work is characterised by an intuitive elegance that left a lasting mark on the Italian style of her era.
Founded by Giulio Castelli in 1949, Kartell has become a byword for 'Made in Italy' design. Working with names such as Philippe Starck, Ron Arad, Antonio Citterio and Patricia Urquiola, the brand pioneered the use of plastics and, in 1999, became the first company in the world to make furniture from polycarbonate, paving the way for icons like the Louis Ghost chair. Today Kartell combines its design heritage with advanced technology and certified materials, creating pieces built for quality, durability and style.
