Slide is an Italian brand known for bold, playful furniture and lighting, made in Buccinasco, near Milan. Courthouse Interiors is Slide's exclusive UK partner, and in this guide we explain what makes the brand different and pick out lamps, side tables, seating and bar furniture, with ideas for using them indoors, in the garden and in commercial spaces.
What makes Slide different
Much of Slide's furniture is made from rotomoulded polyethylene. It is 100% recyclable, many pieces are made from recycled material in colours such as Jet Black, Elephant Grey and Chocolate Brown, and Slide describes its manufacturing process as zero-emission. The brand exports to over 130 countries.
Slide works with a wide group of designers. Graziano Moro and Renato Pigatti created Design of Love, a baroque-inspired, theatrical line that includes Crown of Love and Queen of Love. Paola Navone designed Low Lita, a playful, Afro-pop influenced range for indoor and outdoor settings. The result is furniture that feels more like sculpture, with a sense of humour.

Lighting for indoors and out
Lighting is where Slide is best known. The Cubo Lamp is a large family of lamps and one of Slide's best sellers. Its soft light creates a lounge atmosphere in indoor and outdoor settings alike, and its clean shape suits contemporary and minimal schemes.
For a bigger statement, the Dino Lamp is an oversized glowing egg that lights up indoor and outdoor areas. Use it to mark the edge of a terrace, light a path, or bring a soft glow to a large living room. The Globo collection of spherical lamps comes in various sizes, and the Carmen table lamps, with thin geometric shapes in lacquered aluminium, bring a more delicate touch.

Sculptural pieces for the home
Slide's smaller furniture is where its personality really shows. The Ambrogio Side Table is a colourful butler designed by Francesco Favaretto, who was inspired by his father's moustache. Its partner, the Amanda Side Table, from Favaretto & Partners, is a servant table with a comic shape. Together they make a striking corner beside a sofa or armchair.
The Amore Bench spells out the word AMORE in stylised letters. It is a true contemporary sculpture that adds an arty, quirky touch to a hallway, landing or living room. The Gears Table is inspired by a mechanical gear and is modular: several can be placed side by side or stacked so they interlock, creating colourful compositions.
Bringing Slide into the garden
Because so much of the range works outdoors, Slide is a natural fit for gardens and terraces. The Big Kroko is a lounge sofa designed for relaxing in outdoor spaces, with a hinted but unmistakable shape. Pair it with a Cubo or Dino lamp and you have a seating area that looks as good after dark as it does in the day.
A good rule outdoors is to choose one or two sculptural pieces and give them space, rather than filling a terrace with furniture. A single bold colour against planting and stone will do more than several competing shades.
Bars and hospitality
Slide also makes luminous bar counters for cafes, restaurants, events and reception areas. The Break Bar Table is a modular, illuminated bar counter and display system that works as a bar or reception desk. The Jumbo Bar, designed by Jorge Najera, is another modular, luminous counter with simple lines.
Several of these larger pieces are made to order with their own lead time, so please contact us by email or live chat before ordering.
